10 Things - Danmerle (DmC)

"10 Things" is your chance to get to know your featured Downe Girls firsthand. We ask each girl to share 10
random facts about themselves that people might not know about them.

Danmerle refuses to be pigeonholed and wants to captivate others. She feels if her music can be used as a medium to create critical consciousness, then her job as a songwriter is done. She's performed at the Hawai'i State Capital for Equality March Ceremonies, equality day events planned by Family Equality Coalition, Girl Fest, LGBTQ fundraiser events, several Downetowne parties, Hotel39, and Indigo's.

I've had the pleasure of seeing her perform and in addition to being a very talented musician, she's such a sweet individual. A really great soul!

10 Things
1) DmC orders everything with extra lettuce

2) DmC doesn’t like whip cream

3) DmC often says “Don’t take my kindness for weakness” and “It’s the short people you should fear most”

4) DmC took piano lessons from 3rd to 12th grade however, has a stronger connection with the self-taught guitar (btw, enrolling in a guitar class is still on DmC’s “to do” list)

5) DmC writes melody before lyrics

6) DmC has many goals but very little patience to see any come to full fruition.

7) DmC would like to hear longer drum jam solos

8) DmC fears the necessary and overcomes the worst

9) In just one mid-September, DmC fell in love with a Cape Cod summer and since then, has dreams of having her own artist den

10) DmC sees the good in everyone hoping to learn from each person she meets and is appreciative for those who took the time to read her list of “10 things”
